Terms of Service

By accessing or using ProposalForge ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

ProposalForge is an AI-powered proposal generation platform that helps freelancers create customised, keyword-optimised proposals for job applications. The Service includes:

• →AI-generated freelance proposals using Llama 3.1 via the Groq API
• →Resume parsing, ATS scoring, and AI resume rewriting
• →Proposal history, analytics, and outcome tracking
• →Email integration with Gmail and Outlook for direct proposal sending
• →Admin tools for account management (admin users only)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

Registration

You must create an account to use most features of ProposalForge. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information and to keep your account information updated.

Account Security

• →You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• →You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• →Notify us immediately at support@proposalforge.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
• →We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

One Account Per Person

Each person may maintain only one ProposalForge account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or suspensions is prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts.

You agree to use ProposalForge only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must NOT:

• →Use the Service to generate spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or misleading content
• →Impersonate another person or entity in generated proposals
• →Use the Service to generate proposals for jobs you are not qualified for with intent to deceive clients
• →Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or subscription limits
• →Reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service via automated means
• →Upload malicious files, viruses, or any code intended to disrupt the Service
• →Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
• →Share your account credentials with others
• →Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

By using the AI generation features, you acknowledge:

• →You own the output. Proposals generated for you are yours to use, modify, and send.
• →You are responsible for accuracy. AI may generate plausible-sounding but incorrect claims. Review all proposals before sending.
• →No guarantees of results. We do not guarantee that generated proposals will result in job offers, client responses, or any specific outcome.
• →Your input trains nothing. Your job descriptions and resume are sent to Groq for inference only. Groq does not train on API inputs per their policy.
• →Content restrictions. Do not use the AI to generate proposals containing false credentials, fabricated experience, or deceptive claims.

Free Plan

The Free plan includes a limited number of proposal generations per month as specified on our pricing page. Free plan limits may change with 30 days notice.

Pro and Enterprise Plans

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes.

• →Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
• →You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• →We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. See our Refund Policy for full details.
• →We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days written notice.

Failed Payments

If payment fails, we will retry the charge for up to 7 days. If payment is not received, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan. Your data will not be deleted due to payment failure.

Our Property

ProposalForge, its logo, design, code, and all content created by us are protected by copyright and intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload (resumes, job descriptions) and all AI-generated proposals created for you. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to provide the Service — for example, to store your proposals in your account.

We do not claim ownership of your proposals. We do not share your proposals with other users. We do not use your proposals for marketing without your explicit consent.

We specifically disclaim any warranty that:

• →The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• →AI-generated proposals will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
• →Using the Service will result in job offers, client responses, or income.
• →The Service will meet your specific requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProposalForge and its team shall not be liable for:

• →Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• →Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
• →Damages resulting from AI-generated content you send to clients.
• →Damages resulting from third-party services (Groq, MongoDB, Vercel).
• →Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability. In such cases, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

By You

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Privacy → Delete your account. This permanently removes all your data.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you:

• →Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy
• →Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• →Abuse the Service in a way that affects other users
• →Fail to pay subscription fees after the grace period

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes for up to 30 days before permanent deletion.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.

For users in the EU/EEA: Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law, including the right to bring claims before your local courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• →Posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
• →Sending an email notification to all registered users at least 14 days before changes take effect.

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
