Our Commitment

We want you to be happy with ProposalForge. If the product doesn't work for you, we'd rather give you a refund than keep your money. This policy outlines exactly when refunds are available and how to request one.

Short version: 7-day money-back guarantee on new subscriptions. After that, refunds are case-by-case.

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you subscribe to any paid ProposalForge plan and are not satisfied within the first 7 calendar days of your subscription, you are entitled to a full refund.

Conditions

  • Your refund request must be submitted within 7 days of your initial subscription charge.
  • This applies to first-time subscribers only, not renewals or plan upgrades.
  • One refund per customer — the guarantee does not apply if you have previously received a refund.
  • Applies to monthly and annual plans.

What you get

  • Full refund of the amount charged, returned to your original payment method.
  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
  • Your account will be downgraded to the Free plan after refund. Your data is not deleted.

Refunds After 7 Days

After the 7-day guarantee period, refunds are not automatically issued but we evaluate requests on a case-by-case basis. We may issue a full or partial refund in the following circumstances:

  • Service outage: ProposalForge was unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours during your billing period.
  • Billing error: You were charged incorrectly (wrong amount, duplicate charge, charge after cancellation).
  • Technical fault: A confirmed bug in our system prevented you from using core features you paid for, and we were unable to resolve it within a reasonable time.

No refunds for AI output quality, missed cancellations, unused time, or change of mind after 7 days.

Annual Plans

Annual subscriptions are eligible for the 7-day guarantee on the initial purchase. Beyond 7 days:

  • If you cancel an annual plan, your subscription remains active until the end of the paid year. No partial refunds are issued for unused months.
  • Exception: If you cancel within 30 days of an annual renewal and have not used the service during that renewal period, contact us for a pro-rated refund review.

Cancellations

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Here's what happens when you cancel:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period.
  • You will not be charged again after cancellation.
  • At the end of your billing period, your account is downgraded to the Free plan automatically.
  • Your proposals, settings, and data are not deleted when you cancel — only when you delete your account.

Exceptions — No Refunds

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Violation of Terms of Service — accounts suspended for Terms violations are not eligible for refunds.
  • Free plan — the Free plan has no charges and therefore no refunds.
  • Chargebacks — if you initiate a chargeback with your bank, your account will be suspended immediately pending investigation. Chargebacks bypass our refund process and incur additional bank fees.
  • AI output quality — AI-generated proposals are inherently variable. Dissatisfaction with AI output is not grounds for a refund after 7 days, though we welcome feedback to improve the system.
  • Third-party costs — any costs you incur with third-party services (Upwork, Fiverr, etc.) as a result of using ProposalForge are outside our responsibility.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at billing@proposalforge.app with the following:

  • Your account email address
  • The date of the charge you're requesting a refund for
  • The reason for your refund request (optional for 7-day guarantee)

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. Once approved, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and will appear on your original payment method.

For fastest service, email us during UK/EU business hours (9am–6pm GMT, Monday–Friday).

EU Consumer Rights

If you are located in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital service contract within 14 days of purchase (the "cooling-off period") under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

However, if you actively use the service (e.g. generate proposals) during the cooling-off period, you acknowledge that the service has been performed and the right of withdrawal may not apply to the portion of the service already consumed.

We voluntarily offer a 7-day full refund regardless of usage, which we believe exceeds the practical benefit of the cooling-off right for our service. EU users may still contact us to exercise their statutory rights.
